Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access and use of the AZERO.ID platform, an on-chain domain & identity service provided by Nameverse Association (“Nameverse”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a limited liability company registered in Switzerland. By using the AZERO.ID platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the AZERO.ID platform.
Eligibility
The AZERO.ID platform is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years old. By using the AZERO.ID platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. There are no specific residency or other eligibility restrictions.
User Accounts
Users of the AZERO.ID platform do not create accounts with us. Instead, you connect to the platform using a non-custodial wallet that holds the private key to an address on the Aleph Zero blockchain. By using the AZERO.ID platform, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your wallet and any associated private keys.
Fees and Payments
The fees for registering a domain on the AZERO.ID platform are denominated in $AZERO. The fees are subject to change at our discretion. By using the AZERO.ID platform, you agree to pay any applicable fees for registering, renewing, or modifying domains.
Intellectual Property
By using the AZERO.ID platform, you acknowledge that the intellectual property rights associated with registered domains are only rented for a limited time and will return to Nameverse Association upon expiration of the registration period if the domain is not renewed.
Liability and Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nameverse Association disclaims any and all liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the AZERO.ID platform. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nameverse Association, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the AZERO.ID platform.
Waiver of Right of Withdrawal
Consumers within the European Union generally have a right of withdrawal that can be exercised within fourteen (14) days after the conclusion of the contract. This means that the consumer can change their mind about a purchase of an item after buying it within 14 days of the purchase and return it to the company they bought it from. Given the digital nature of the on-chain domains and the immediate access to the domains by the User after purchase, you will be asked to waive your right to the withdrawal period when purchasing a domain, meaning that the domain is yours immediately upon purchase and you waive the ability to return it to Nameverse Association for a refund. Our terms and conditions apply to the initial purchase and any subsequent renewal of the domain registration in the future.
BY REGISTERING A DOMAIN ON THE AZERO.ID PLATFORM, YOU SHALL EXPRESSLY CONSENT TO THE PERFORMANCE OF THE CONTRACT TO BEGIN BEFORE THE END OF THE WITHDRAWAL PERIOD AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU WILL LOSE YOUR RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the AZERO.ID platform shall be exclusively resolved by a Swiss court with jurisdiction over the matter. These Terms and any disputes relating to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland.
Amendments and Termination
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time and at our discretion. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will notify you by posting an updated version on the AZERO.ID platform. Your continued use of the AZERO.ID platform after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
We may terminate your access to and use of the AZERO.ID platform, at our sole discretion, at any time and without notice to you.
Privacy Policy
A separate Privacy Policy is provided here, outlining how we collect, store, and use user data in compliance with relevant data protection and privacy regulations, including the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
Compliance with Laws
Nameverse Association and the AZERO.ID platform comply with all applicable Swiss laws and regulations.
